What we are trying to eradicate:

• Vehicles turning illegally from Johnson Street into Helena Street.
• Vehicles using Helena Street and Market Street as a short cut in both directions.
• Vehicles driving erratically, dangerously and illegally along Helena Street and Market Street.

What we are trying to achieve:

• Safer and quieter local roads for the community.
• Less congestion outside Guildford Primary School at peak times.
• A safer pick up and drop off area outside Guildford Primary School.
• Safer access in and out of Helena Street.

How we propose to achieve this:

• Block Helena St to the East of Ethel St to eliminate short cutting vehicles in both directions.
• Open the entrance to Helena Street to allow vehicles to enter, to eliminate illegal driving activity and allow greater access to Guildford Primary School for parents, staff and local traffic.
• Addition of a round about at the intersection of Helena St and Johnson St to provide far safer access (in and out) of Helena st.
