We, the residents of the Victory Park Neighborhood of Stockton, California, petition the City of Stockton Mayor Kevin J. Lincoln, City Council members: Christina Fugazi, Dan Wright, Susan Lenz, Sol Jobrack, Paul Canepa, and Kimberly Warmsley, City Manager Harry Black, and City of Stockton Public Works Director, Jodi Almassy to ensure immediate implementation of all measures necessary to control traffic on Pershing Ave. (both north & south) between the North Interstate 5 exit continuing to Harding Way including our following demands:

  1. Consistent police presence on Pershing Ave. to enforce the 30 MPH speed limit, as a deterrent to speeding violators.
  2. Posting of speed limit signs at more frequent intervals along Pershing Ave., to include solar flashing speed limit signs.
  3. Immediate delivery of previously promised Hawk Lighting System at the Rose St./Pershing Ave. intersection.
  4. A firm commitment by the City of Stockton officials to change the Google Maps and MapQuest instructions which currently direct North Bound Highway 5 motorists to the Pershing Ave. exit.
