It's been three weeks since the animal control officer came by and told me that I had "about a week." As of now, Penelope is still at home with me. No one from the city has come back by. Fingers crossed that they don't. We are still collecting signatures and letters of support though because I still want to make the pigs "legal" here. I watched the saddest video today from Carla Reily at Happy Tails sanctuary and she said that 97% of pigs are rehomed at least once in their lifetime. My promise to Penelope is that we will be in that 3% that do not rehome their pet pigs. Even if I have to let her stay with my mom for a bit she will never be permanently without her family! She's just as much our family as we are hers! Thank you all so much for signing and sharing! Please do keep spreading the word.
