Approve Local Woman Owned Restaurant/Lounge in Springfield

Approve Local Woman Owned Restaurant/Lounge in Springfield
The Issue
I NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
As many of you may, know I recently purchased the old Lidos building in downtown Springfield. Lidos was a staple in the community’s history and has been vacant for almost 15 years. My plan is to revive the space by opening a restaurant/lounge area with great food and specialty drinks. In order to achieve, this I will need to obtain a liquor license which was previously turned down by the city of Springfield. I am appealing the decision because as you know it is impossible to have a lounge with out a liquor license. I have invested my time , energy and money into creating this opportunity and bring this area back to life. I was ridiculed by the board for having a robust security plan, however my current building is vacant and riddled with things like drug paraphernalia and human feces. A large impact on the city’s decision was the neighborhood council giving push back. We cannot allow a few people, who don’t seem aware of the city’s actual issues, to account for the entire city. The city needs something new , vibrant, and safe. Please show the city we are ready for a change. Thank you for your support of local business and women owned businesses.
