Save the big tree!

The large eucalyptus tree near the front of San Luis Obispo High School, better known as the "Big Tree" among students and alumni, is currently in danger of being cut down. Due to a large school-wide remodel and in order to find a new location for a planned modern administration building, the Big Tree's livelihood is in jeopardy. The school's principal, Leslie O'Connor, personally doesn't want it cut down, but he doesn't know if he can keep true to that if the new admin building needs to go in its place. The current plan is ambiguous in needing to cut the tree down or not, but we want to make sure its life is spared.

The Big Tree stands as a landmark for not only the high school, but for San Luis Obispo itself. As a community, we need to stand together and fight for the Big Tree! San Luis Obispo High School wouldn't be the same without it. Sign this petition to show administration how much you care! Let's band together and make them promise not to cut it down!
