City of Richardson,TX: Purchase land at Owens/Spring Creek Farm and build a park/botanical garden for public use or maintain the farm in its current state at a minimum.
The Issue
This farm has been an enjoyable place for many of the children and families in the Richardson area. Bob Evans Foods has decided to close the factory and sell the surrounding farm. This place has a historical significance to the City of Richardson. I would hate to see someone redevelop the land in an unappealing way or destroy the legacy of this historical sight. The surrounding community is a mix of residential neighborhoods, businesses and a public golf course. There is a transfer station owned by the North Texas Munipal Water District next door that needs a buffer.
