Permission To Paint Mural On Building

 Darkside has been part of the community for more than 30 years, during this time we have engaged with local artists to paint murals on the exterior our buildings as it has become part of our identity. Over the years the process has received praise from the local community and their patrons.

Darkside started our new project to do the same thing at our new location at 975 Hilltop Drive, however the city has told them to stop and paint over what they have started because it does not comply with the Hilltop/city code. The city says they have received numerous complaints about the project and the mural now needs city approval. The city also says it will qualify as a sign because it surrounds the business name (Darkside) and it does not fall into their guidelines for signage which is that the sign can only be 300 sq. feet in size.
