Hi all, Hope you marked your calendars for the May 9th public meeting (9am city hall first floor). I spoke with the Oak Street Project Manager yesterday. He was impressed by the community support for the enhanced design (chicanes and street trees). He said it was going make his job a little bit easier presenting a project that had "more bells and whistles" the originally intended. The good news is that he going to present our preferred alternative at the T & I meeting on May 9th! This is good! But it is not the end of the uphill slog.. If the project leaves the T & I meeting in tact it will be passed off the construction team. The construction team may very well try and "value engineer" out our complete streets items.
