Save The Historic Smith/ Zetta May Farmhouse

Please help save the Smith/Zetta May Farmhouse!
Built in the 1800's the Smith/Zetta May Farm has stood proudly overlooking Charlestown Road for generations. In the 70's it was purchased by my grandparents, Charles and Patricia Phillips. For years, my grandparents restored every inch of this amazing home. A lot of love went into this project. Marble entryway, mahogany library, original bathroom upstairs as well as a three bedroom addition added with a large family room, chefs kitchen and formal dining room. The home is breathtaking. The love of historic preservation that they shared is obvious in the care they took while maintaining and restoring this amazing farmhouse.
Now it's facing demolition. The area has been completely developed and this home is the last one standing. Developers are wanting to purchase from Northside Christian Church to build a bank.
At what point do we start realizing that we only have so many of these precious structures left? Why is a bank more important than this historic farmhouse? Why are we tearing down an incredible home? We can build anywhere. But when our history is destroyed, it's gone forever!
Please sign this petition to help me try and save her. If you've driven down Charlestown Road you know exactly the house I'm talking about! My heart is completely breaking. My grandparents gave so much to their community and love to their church, the schools and historic preservation. Please help!
