Gas powered gardening equipment such has lawn mowers and leaf blowers are polluting our neighbourhoods with gas fumes and incredible noise disturbance. These gas burning machines are old technology and it is time they are replaced by eco-friendly electric versions. 

These machines leave a lingering smell of exhaust fumes in the air long after they've been used, and are often used by landscapers in groups of two to five people at a time. Not only is this equipment polluting our environment with exhaust fumes more prominently that our cars do, but they are louder, more disruptive, and more polluting than any vehicle on our roads. These machines smell and sound like cars without mufflers, and there is no reason why this should still be allowed in 2020. 

We must listen to, and smell, these polluting machines from the earliest hours of the morning until the afternoon while landscapers move from one property to another throughout neighbourhoods. The maintenance of one garden should not impact an entire block with noise and exhaust pollution. This old technology is outrageously disruptive. 

It is time for gardening equipment to catch up with the times. These gas powered machines are old and incredibly polluting, and must be replaced with more environmental conscious technology. Battery powered versions exists, and its time they replace the gas powered machines.
