Stop the Median on Hwy 158!

The Issue

Hello from the family at A to Z Veterinary Clinic. The Texas-State Texas Department of Transportation, City of Midland, & the County of Midland are trying to have a median built on Hwy 158 in front of our clinic. This median would make it impossible for traffic heading north/west to turn left to enter our clinic. The yellow lines indicate the proposed impassable median, obstructing access to us & our neighbor. This also means that visitors would only be allowed to turn right, coming out of our clinic parking lot. This would greatly impede the flow of traffic coming in & out of the clinic. Any patients coming in as an emergency would then have a harder time entering the clinic. When it comes to emergencies, shaving off 5-15minutes of your time to get here can make all the difference. We also have yearly biyearly open house, it is held here at the clinic for Peeps and Creeps. Peeps and Creeps is our non-profit organization that takes in injured/sick wildlife and owner surrendered exotic pets. These events tend to be pretty busy with traffic coming in & out. We are asking all who come through our doors to sign this petition, so we can stop this impediment from happening.
