Progress Puerto Rico started this petition to City of Miami

Two days after Christmas Puerto Rican artist Héctor Collazo began his historic painting as part of his #78pueblosy1bandera project. The artist traveled to towns across Puerto Rico painting variations of the Puerto Rican flag as murals.

Héctor's newest painting on Biscayne Blvd. in Miami, Florida marked the first mural of the project to be done outside of the island.

Before the paint on our flag dried some began calling for the painting to be removed and painted over. We and many others joined in gather petition signatures for #NoBorresMiBandera in support of the artist's work and the owner of restaurant location La Placita Julian Gil.

We're calling on the City of Miami to not erase our flag and to let our Puerto Rican flag painting stay as it is. Together with our friends we've gained over 70,000 signatures in support of the effort. Your signature will be added and count towards that total as we seek to gain over 100,000 signatures this week.

**We are NOT seeking or asking for funds for ourselves or anybody else we are asking for those in support of keeping our flag to make their voices heard. Please save your money.**
