Our Wabash Park Family

Our Wabash Park Family
The Issue
At the age of 10 years old I was persuaded to join the basketball league at Wabash Park by an encouraging stranger. Twelve years later, I have not left that park and coached 5 to 15 year old kids in basketball, baseball, and softball. That stranger that encouraged me to play is the director and has remained at Wabash Park throughout all those years. As the director of Wabash park, we have seen 4 team leagues grown into 6 teams, we managed to start our own softball league at the park with over 50 girls, and we have seen more and more kids get involved with sports and their community. Today, I call upon friends, parents, and strangers to extend a helping hand because you never know the impact you may have. We at Wabash Park are in danger of losing our beloved director Al Ramos. Despite the many limitations the park has, Al has worked hard to make it a great environment and in the process has created a second home for us. We the community of Boyle Heights and Wabash Park demand that Al Ramos not be removed. Instead, we ask that the attention on Al Ramos be shifted towards continuing to make Wabash Park great. Please sign and share this petition so that we continue to have Al Ramos as our director and that Wabash Park received positive attention.
