Gentrification is causing so many people of color in working class neighborhoods to leave their homes! When local mom & pop shops are replaced with star bucks and Whole Foods and cozy homes are turned into million dollar town homes the people that grew up in the area are forced to leave due to the drastic finical burden to live in what they once called home. Gentrification is striping people of their community and sucking the culture out of these lively parts of town. Hire locally within those communities for special projects to raise the income of the community, but don’t their homes and memories.
