In an apparent victory for Eastvale Residents, city staff will propose 3 sites for the state's mandated 3,028 high density housing units. Originally, 13 sites had been proposed by city staff throughout the city. These sites were positioned near schools, congested intersections, and right in the middle of established neighborhoods.
Residents showed up and spoke up, and it appears the city listened. While this victory does not immediately affect the Sumner Place Apartments or Magnolia Ranch developments; it DOES mean that the city should not have "it's hands tied" as to the type of high-density proposed at these sites near 3 schools.
The city is prepared to present these sites to the City Council and Planning Commission at a joint meeting tonight, November 1st at 7 PM. Please plan to attend and stay informed. MORE development is coming to our city and we must use our collective voices to better our beautiful city.
