After months of back and forth between the Eastvale City Council and the Planning Commission, residents stood their ground in opposition to adding over 3,000 housing units, mostly high-density, to the remaining land.  However, city officials continued to say "our hands are tied, these housing mandates are coming from Sacramento and we need to comply."

Like hundreds of other cities in Southern California, Eastvale struggled to allocate the UNREALISTIC number of housing units mandated by the state.  Many cities are now facing required revisions to their Housing Elements and/or bracing for the consequences. (SEE SLIDE) Politicians in Sacramento did not expect such resistance from cities and their residents and are now doubling down on stricter enforcement and threatening with punishment.

WHAT CAN YOU DO? Vote on June 7!  Do your research and vote accordingly.  It is time to tell Sacramento that Eastvale is better informed to make our own decisions locally.
