WE URGE ALL RESIDENTS TO STAY INVOLVED. The City of Eastvale is getting ready to submit it's Housing Element to the State of California Department of Housing. The 3,028 mandated housing units will inevitably mean that highest-density housing zoning will be included in the document.
Residents strongly oppose these types of mandates on our small, already congested and nearly built-out city. However, what we can do is decide where this housing should be zoned for. We MUST make it very clear to our city representatives that HIGH-DENSITY Housing belongs at the perimeter of our city near freeways, and it definitely DOES NOT belong near any schools.
Informed Eastvale is making the following recommendations: 1. NO HIGH-DENSITY near Schools. 2. REMOVE the two SCHLEISMAN Housing Projects from the HOUSING ELEMENT (Both Sumner Place & Magnolia Ranch) because of their proximity to three schools. 3.Place HIGHEST DENSITY at VERNOLA & LEAL near the freeway.
Send a message to our City Staff and Council urging them to make the right decision when choosing the sites for housing. WE NEED YOUR VOICES TO BE HEARD. CLICK HERE to send a quick letter to the City of Eastvale

It will be crucial for our community to show up to the final meeting on Monday, November 1st. See you all there.
