Remove Parking Meters on Second

The Issue

Parking meters were recently added to the remaining blocks of the Midtown (or Cass Corridor, if you prefer) neighborhood in Detroit, extending from Willis St. to Forest Ave. For residents of this neighborhood this is a huge blow. Midtown is a largely residential neighborhood with already limited parking opportunities. Residents rely heavily on the free street parking, which is now metered under a pay-by-the-hour scheme.

Businesses and residents in Southwest Detroit spoke up when meters were put in their neighborhoods and the City agreed to remove them. We can do the same.

Sign the petition and let the City know that Midtown should not be metered.
