DAndre L. Lane Sr. is innocent of the murder of his daughter Bianca Lily Jones. Bianca was reported missing by her family on December 2, 2011. She has never been found. Detroit Police brought in dogs to search for Bianca. The dogs found no trace of the toddler, but Detroit Police said that the dogs barking was proof that Bianca was in fact deceased and immediately focused their investigations on Biancas parents. Detroit Police arrested Mr. Lane and Wayne County Prosecutor tried him for the murder of his daughter. At trial they produced a witness that claimed to have heard Mr. Lane beating his daughter. That witness has since publicly recanted the statement on numerous occasions. The witness claims to have been pressured by Detroit Police to make the statement. Several witnesses testified to having seen Bianca alive after she was supposedly beaten. The prosecutor introduced a sponge wrapped stick as the murder weapon. They could not find any DNA from Bianca on the weapon. DAndre L. Lane Sr. was convicted of his daughters murder and sentenced to life in prison plus thirty years, one year and a day after his daughters disappearance. Bianca Lily Jones is still a missing persons case. There are no remains recovered. No Death Certificate has been issued. Her mother is still searching for her.
