Chula Vista BMX is a BMX race track located in Chula Vista, CA that is part of the Olympic Training Center. Currently, the track and Olympic Center are closed for all riders due to COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the City of Chula Vista and Governor Gavin Newson, including BMX practice.  

USABMX has recently restarted its National Racing Series and we have numerous riders in our community that typically compete in this series and are missing out on crucial practice time, including former and current National Champions. 

We are asking the City of Chula Vista to allow our Track Operator to reopen and run small group BMX practices for USABMX members only.  

By requiring riders to sign up in advance to reserve their spots in an online forum, this would ensure no more than 10 riders maximum training at a single time. BMX riders wear full-face helmets, ride in very small groups where they can be spaced apart, and don't practice or compete facing each other.

The Chula Vista BMX volunteers and parents are committed to enforcing whatever protective measures are deemed necessary to open Chula Vista BMX and give our riders a fighting chance at defending and re-obtaining their National Titles for 2020.
