Support Dog Boarding in the City of Brentwood

The Issue

Hi everyone,

My name is Marc and I am trying to open a high-end dog board/dog daycare business in Brentwood, CA.  My wife and I are long term residents of Brentwood.  We have two beautiful daughters and are proud members of an absolutely amazing community.

I am having a hard time getting the City Planning Department (PD) to approve a Use Permit that would allow us to operate within the Brentwood city limits.  The PD believes dog boarding belongs in the county.  I disagree!  Camp Bow Wow is an amazing dog boarding/dog daycare business that is created to exist within cities like Brentwood.  We are a franchise of nearly 200 camps and we operate in commercial buildings throughout the United States.  Camp Bow Wow would be a great business for the City of Brentwood.  It would bring jobs, revenue, and much needed dog boarding and dog daycare to a city that has nothing like this.  Drop offs and pick ups would be safe and easy, and you would be able to watch your pup on our amazing high def cameras  day and night.  The building we will occupy is new and amazingly beautiful.  Traffic will not be an issue, nor will parking or any other possible concerns.  Our facility will be all indoors, but will have play areas for small, medium and large dogs of all breeds.  See campbowwow.com for additional details.

Opening a Camp Bow Wow will not be possible if the City of Brentwood denies our Use Permit application.  Please support us and let Planning Department know how much the city would benefit from a dog boarding facility is needed in our area.

I thank you for your time and appreciate your support.
