I was shocked to learn about the bike accident that occurred on a street that I biked quite frequently. After last night (11/12/12)'s tragedy, it is necesary to have bike lanes in order to prevent future bike accidents on a well traveled street. We want bicycles to be separated from cars and pedestrians, so having bike lanes on either side of Brighton Avenue makes sense and would benefit all parties.
