Violetville is a small neighborhood located near the Baltimore County & Baltimore City in Southwest Baltimore.  We currently have a Royal Farms under construction at the intersection of Benson & Caton Ave.  There is a potential SECOND Royal Farms proposed for the corner of Joh & Caton Avenue (less than a mile away). 

Baltimore City's District 10 already has more than a sufficient amount of gas stations and convenient stores.  We believe that there is no need for new gas stations for the following reasons:

~ There are currently abandoned gas stations that should be revitalized before creating a brand new gas station or have an area rezoned for a gas station

~ We have over 20 gas stations within a 2 mile radius of our neighborhood (Shell, Crown, Sunoco, Royal Farms, CarollFuel, Marathon, Liberty, Highs, Wawa, and US gas)

~ The residents have valid litter, traffic, economic, environmental, health, crime, and truck traffic concerns.  Our neighborhood would be negatively impacted by creating more new gas stations.

~ We would like to see businesses come to the area that would be engaging to our community, bring quality employment, and a positive impact on our neighborhood. 

We have a lot of character in our community and we would like to see our surrounding businesses reflect that character and not create a larger rest stop in Southwest Baltimore.
