City of Altamonte Springs FL recognize a memorial to Chuck Schuldiner of Death

The Issue

Since the early 1980s when the Music of Death Metal was taking off Charles Michael Schuldiner was a pioneer for the genre as many crediting him as the father of the genre. He spent his entire life in Altamonte Springs Florida and started his tape trading days from his parents garage there as well as forming his genre defining band "DEATH" in 1983. He was responsible for the surgence of similar bands such as "Deicide" "Morbid Angel" and "Obituary" to name a few in the Central Florida area. He went on to evolve his sound and impact the local music scene in Central Florida forever. We want to petition the City of Altamonte Springs Florida to recognize his legacy on the area, with a memorial plaque near his old neighborhood. All over the world Chucks music has made a lasting impact and legacy and as of recent Rick Rozz (resident of Altamonte Springs FL) (Leprosy album) and Terry Butler (Leprosy and Spiritual Healing) formed a tribute act and toured the country with great success under the act "Left to Die" drawing big crowds.
