After living in our home for six years I’ve noticed countless times people driving in and out of the neighborhood and excessive speed‘s. I live on the corner as you drive-in and it currently has a stop sign but it runs east and west. As you’re driving out of the neighborhood you come down a tiny hill around the corner. It is a very blind corner and so many times people are just racing through to get out of the neighborhood. I feel like the stop sign should be switched instead of running east and west it should be running north and south so if you’re driving into the neighborhood or out of the neighborhood through the tiny hill that you would have to stop and slow down . We have yet to have an incident where somebody was hit or hurt but I’d hate to let time go on for that to happen. I feel like Action needs to be taken to add a stop sign so that our neighborhood can be a safer place. I have three children myself all under the age of 10 and since living here have seen so many more families with children move in. On my street alone we have 12 kids under the age of 10 that’s a lot of kids for people to be driving fast around. I’m hoping with this signed petition I can write a full statement and make a presentation to our city council and Mayor so we can get the changes needed for our neighborhood.
