There is currently a plan to build a 150+ unit rental development on Farrell Road directly across from Broken Arrow called Redwood Apartment Neighborhood.  This plan has passed Planning and Zoning and will soon be brought before the City Council of Lockport.

The community has already raised a myriad of concerns, including: the short and long term consequences of a rental development (which would allow up to 5 people per unit along with short term leases), the impact on existing property values for homeowners, untold traffic impact, school system impacts, safety issues, and many more.

The fact is, there is already an apartment development in Lockport called Highland Ridge that is nowhere near full capacity and as such there's no need for another rental development where pride of ownership from people looking to put down roots and build long-term value in the community will be non-existent.

The planned development would have a single point of entry/exit directly across from the entrance to Broken Arrow golf course & neighborhood.  If you live nearby, you already understand how challenging traffic on this street can be.  

If you live in Lockport, work in Lockport, or own a business or property in Lockport and have concerns about this development and what it could mean for you long term, please let your City council members know by phone and email along with encouraging your friends and neighbors to do so.
