Excessive noise and street racing in the Jupiter corridor every night from 10pm and beyond.  We are asking for extra patrols, and a task force to pull over, ticket/impound illegally modified vehicles with excessively loud exhaust.  

A joint task force between Richardson/Garland Police is necessary to achieve this goal, as both departments have Jurisdiction in the area of concern. The main problem areas are Jupiter/Arapaho and Buckingham/Arapaho.  I hear loud racing up and down Jupiter almost every single night.  

Excessive speed around the Cali Saigon Mall is always a concern.  Lowering the speed limit on Jupiter to 40 MPH may be necessary to make this street safer.  45 encourages many drivers to go 50 and beyond.  The amount of traffic in this area during Rush Hour is excessive to allow that type of speed.

We ask that Richardson City council put together a plan to combat the Street Racing, Excessive Noise Emitting Vehicles, and General dangerous driving in this area.  Foot/Bike traffic in this area has increased significantly with all of the people working from home.  This problem needs to be dealt with before someone gets killed or injured.

Protect our streets.  Impound vehicles for Street Racing and Excessive Noise to restore the peace of mind to our neighborhood.  It can not be tolerated any longer.
