About 12 or 13 years ago, Sam's Club was considering building a warehouse in Sierra Vista and had land set aside for that purpose behind the Walmart Superstore.  The economy went in the tubes and the warehouse was never built.  The land sits vacant and available for sale.  Building a Costco on that site would be a real shot in the arm for the Sierra Vista and Cochise County economy and a huge convenience to the citizens who would no longer have to drive 150 miles round trip to go to Tucson for Costco products. We need our City and County Governments, as well as the people, to reach out to Costco for the benefit of our communities. A local Costco warehouse would enhance Sierra Vista's image as a shopping hub for all of the smaller communities in the county and would encourage more jobs and growth for the area.  Please help us to make our town the best that it can be.
