The Cincinnati Public School district is mandating a changed schedule for those enrolled in Cincinnati Digital Academy, requiring teacher led instruction online from 8am-3pm. For those of us who did our decision-making back in the summer, this is infuriating. Many families with unique at home situations, parents who are still working full time or working remotely and those who want the flexibility to give their children a safe and enriching school experience by providing field trips during the day, depend on the current flexibility and have counted on this consistency for the year. It feels like an enormous slap in the face for the families who made this incredibly difficult decision before the school year began. Let the Cincinnati Board of Education know you don’t want the format to change or to add this as an additional choice without destroying CDA for families who chose it.
