Cibola Class of 2025 Graduation Cap Decor

Cibola Class of 2025 Graduation Cap Decor
The Issue
As a senior at Cibola High School, I along with my fellow classmates are about to experience one of the most significant milestones in our lives: graduation. It is a ritual that marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. But as we prepare to embrace the future, we cannot help but feel that a crucial element of our individuality is being taken away. We are not allowed to decorate our graduation caps, a symbol of our uniqueness and creativity.
Graduation is not just about earning a diploma; it is about celebrating individual achievements and personal growth that each student acquires throughout their high school journey.
Renowned educational institutions worldwide have embraced the tradition of cap decoration as a way to further inspire creativity among student bodies. According to a study published in the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice, cap decorations can serve as an empowering form of self-expression, contributing to the holistic development of students (Volume 53, 2016).
We humbly request the Yuma Union High School District administration to reconsider the current policy and allow the class of 2025 to decorate their graduation caps. Please sign our petition to support our cause. By signing, you are supporting not just the class of 2025, but also the enhancement of diversity, individuality, and creativity in our Yuma County High School District. Let our caps not be just part of uniformity; let them symbolize our individual journeys. Sign the petition now.
