Cambridge High School’s board members and administration have decided to hold Cambridge High School students at a new and destructive standard. Our new 70/30 grading system, weighs all summative assessments (tests, quizzes, etc.) for 70% of our grade while formative assignments (homework, class work, etc.) is only for 30% of our grade. For many students, test taking causes anxiety and stress. Even when subjects are understood, some students are just not good at taking an assessment. Cambridge High School students and family have voiced their opinions about the subject and feel that this is not a proper way to grade and students are starting to struggle.
