The Stables At Knox, Inc has been notified by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation that the proposal submitted in response to the RFP for the Stables at the Park has been DECLINED by NYS Parks. Please see below a press release that NYS Parks intends to release. In light of the foregoing, the public forum that was scheduled for Wednesday at East Aurora High School has been cancelled.

KNOX FARM STATE PARK PLANS TO BE REEVALUATED (East Aurora, NY, September 12, 2016) – After appropriate review the New York State Office of Parks,Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) announces that it will reassess and reevaluate the needs for Knox Farm State Park after receiving only one proposal for development and enhancement of the stable barns.State Parks had issued a Request for Proposal in June. The lone proposal presented the idea to build a farm market and small scale brewery. State Parks remains interested in revitalizing the historic barns and encouraging equestrian or farm-based activities at Knox Farm State Park. At no time has or will parks structures or land ever be sold to accommodate future proposals.Once a reevaluation occurs all future proposals will be reviewed and thoroughly vetted to ensure that the not only the integrity of the property is maintained but that there is enough of a financial benefit to the taxpayers of New York State.
