As true followers of Jesus, we have a deep-seated desire to make a difference in our world. One of the ways we can do so is to unite as Christians in America. The problem is our country, and even our world is in turmoil. With each passing day, it seems we become more divided and fall further from the truth that is Jesus. I don’t know about you, but it can make me feel hopeless and helpless. But we believe God is the same today as He was yesterday, and just like he honored many old testament prayers and fasts, he will honor ours as well. We understand it feels minuscule under the weight of our current reality, but we also cling to the promise in 2 Chronicles that says, “IF my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face...I WILL heal their land.” That’s why we are rallying Christians to pray with us from August through October ending in a three day fast from November 1-3; this can be a full, partial, liquid or Daniel fast.
