In recognition of the first woman elected to New Zealand's parliament

The issue

Elizabeth McCombs was the first woman in New Zealand elected to parliament on the 13th of September 1933 , Elizabeth was from Lyttelton . I propose that the community and Council of Christchurch recognize the achievement this woman made to society by erecting a memorial or plaque in Lyttelton to tell  people the importance Elizabeth's role in New Zealand's history .

Many of Elizabeth's achievements and her story can be found by following this link .https://nzhistory.govt.nz/people/elizabeth-mccombs
