Many of us here at UTC South Durham and others around the world believe early to mid November to be deemed to early for Christmas decorations and music etc. Here at UTC South Durham we have witnessed many decorations going up across the school in November.

Most beleve that Christmas doesn't officially start until the start of December(1st). We are all happy for the celebrations to start after the date of Tuesday, 1st of December but until then we deem it to be to early.

The early celebrations of this festive season are making it harder for others to concentrate especially when on the balcony when studying independently. Therefore this is taking from our education. Another way it is disturbing us is the excessive use of Christmas music playing out loud.

As well some people don't celebrate the celebration the holiday of Christmas due to their religion and therefore could therefore isolate them from the fun. This to us seems to unfair on these individuals. 

As I have already experienced the use of the paper chains can be dangerous as they could be a trip hazard but also a highly dangerous fire risk.

Could this time not be spend more wisely studying for exams?
