The changed system for vehicle tax unfairly affects those buying or selling their used vehicle.  If the vehicle in question is going to continue to be used on the road, under the present system, both the seller and buyer are paying for the same full month of tax.

For example: The seller sells his vehicle on 5th December but can only get back the refund of any outstanding tax paid from January onwards, he has effectively paid the December tax.  As the tax is no longer carried over to the new owner (which seemed far fairer) the new owner also has to pay for the tax starting 1st December.

This is a blatantly unreasonable tax!!!

It would be very simple to overcome this and bring an end to yet another injustice to the law abiding driver!
