CHOOSING DEATH OVER POVERTY (Lesson learned from Amir Farsoud)

The Issue

On Feb. 12, 2020, CBC reported on a study that was led by researchers in Ottawa and found that medically assisted dying is not being driven by factors such as poverty, isolation, or lack of access to proper palliative care. After two and half years, the City News in Ontario is reporting the actual case of Amir Farsoud making this study objectionable.

Why choose death over poverty if someone can easily find a suitable job to overcome poverty and feel productive? A synergic affordable (even free) tool is needed to help everybody find a suitable job.
In current conditions:
Job creators and seekers are not efficiently connected to each other to facilitate the labour market,
Finding the right employee with reliable skillsets is a costly headache for employers,
Job applicants get hired for positions underutilizing their skillsets,
Trustworthy channels like networks override selection criteria,
Disables don’t have an efficient access to job opportunities fitting their capabilities

It’s now time for the government to invest in a much more efficient vehicle for the labour market to effectively position the Canadian manpower and help disables.
