Save Benedict College From the Board of Trustees!
The Issue
Copy of the Letter Sent to Board of Trustees
We, a group of Concerned Alumni, submitted a letter to Benedict College Board of Trustees to express deep concerns about the future of the college’s legacy and to give them a view of the broader alumni community desires.
Our concerns are based upon Benedict College president’s lack of transparency, erosion of trust, and overall leadership performance challenges that continue to follow her from institution to institution.
After a little more than two years, we find the history Roslyn Clark Artis has written to be quite troubling and very similar to those written at previous institutions she led. We believe our upward and onward movement for Benedict College’s near and distant future is challenged by her leadership.
We want the Board of Trustees to act and allow a committee of stakeholders to review the College's progress under her tenure and to conduct a feasibility study into whether she can restore the trust ultimately taking our college to new heights.
