As many of you know O’Neill Palmer our beloved football, basketball and track coach has been told he can no longer coach multiple sports. For anyone who has ever had or has a child attend CHMS this is a devastating loss and completely unacceptable. O’Neill has dedicated over a decade to working with all the kids in our community to help them be better student athletes and prepare them for HS. He does this because of his love of the kids and the sports he coaches. I cannot fathom when we have a shortage of coaches in this time why this is an acceptable decision by CHMS Athletic Director Breton Drake. Please sign this petition to let Mr. Drake ( brettonp.drake@cms.k12.nc.us ) and the principal Mr. Slattery ( brian.slattery@cms.k12.nc.us ) that we do not want to give up our beloved coach and all he brings to our community.
