Save The Famous Chino Skatepark Stairsteps !

The Issue

Currently, it has been 16 years since the famous California Chino Skate Park has opened. This skate park has been skated by many pros who I have even met personally. Some of these pros were Nyjah Huston, Chris Joslin, Chris Cole, Aaron "Jaws" Homoki, and many more. These skaters have obviously skated the main skatepark area like the banks, stair set, but there is one place that most would argue is more famous than the skatepark itself. This spot i'm reffering to is the famous Chino Skate Park Stairsets, but more specifically the often skated "4 Block".

The aforementioned "4 Block" has been skated by P-Rod and Evan Hernandez in 2002 for their parts in "In Bloom" by Transworld, Erik Ellington and Spanky in 2003 for "This Is Skateboarding" by Emerica, Beagle in 2002 for his Vans "Sponsor Me" tape, Eric Koston in 2003 for his part in "Yeah Right", Dustin Dollin in 2005 for his part in "Baker 3", Nyjah Huston in 2007 for his part in "This Is My Element", David Loy, and Sinner in 2019, Bryan Arnett in 2020, and many more skaters locally and on the pro level.

This iconic spot in skateboarding history and Chino is being taken down in the coming few months and is only not happening now because of the pandemic. They are attempting to turn this area into seating for the baseball fields. This is one of the most iconic spots in Chino and I know personally and to hundreds or thousands of others it is an amazing spot that needs to be preserved. If you care about this park, skateboarding history, or just perseving the history of Chino Skate Park please sign this petition and share it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or anyway possible. Save the Chino Skatepark Stairsets!
