BOYCOTT PRODUCTS MADE IN CHINA: Show China we're serious about ENDING the dog meat trade!!
The Issue
The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is about to begin June 21st, and ten thousand dogs (and cats) will be tortured and slaughtered alive. Unfortunately, the murder and torture of animals do not only happen during the Yulin festival. Every day millions of dogs and cats are tortured in China. Images of this holocaust are posted on social media such as Facebook, and the Internet. These images affect and disturb me deeply. There are simply no words for it. By describing it as barbaric, gut wrenching and infinitely cruel only touches the surface.
I write to you to express my DISGUST and OUTRAGE for the annual Yulin festival as well as to the 20% of the Chinese population that consume dog/cat meat on a daily basis. The Yulin festival is to nobody’s benefit except the dog/cat meat traders whom I greatly despise. It is also a fact that consuming the flesh of the stray animals poses a serious health concern to the people that ingest the flesh of these murdered victims.
China has become notorious for its unspeakable bloody behavior! The images and undercover footage reflect a sadistic nation drunken with the spilled blood of murdered souls. We also know that these poor animals are so often times stolen from their owners. How can we trust a country that condones animal abuse and torture? How does it make humanity better?
Animals are also imprisoned in such unhealthy and disgusting conditions and denied basic necessities such as food and water. They are deliberately tortured with the belief that the adrenaline will make their meat taste better. They are boiled, skinned, beaten and hanged alive. Their paws and muzzles are tightly wound with adhesive tape. Again, this is a daily occurrence in China.
Millions of Chinese people have submitted online civil complaints urging the Chinese government to establish laws to protect animals. Why are these complaints ignored? Why are these “demons” allowed to continue with this bloodshed and poor treatment of animals? Why are the squalor, hellholes still allowed to operate? Why are Chinese civilians still able to inflict agonizing and brutal pain on innocent animals?
Help to stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival forever AND end the dog meat trade IMMEDIATELY! DEMAND the torture and bloodshed of cats and dogs in China is made illegal. UNTIL THIS HAPPENS, WE WILL NOT BUY PRODUCTS MADE IN CHINA!!
