Citizens across developing nations continue to suffer from severely underfunded, understaffed, and failing public education systems. Meanwhile, the political leaders responsible for overseeing these national institutions routinely send their own children to elite universities overseas.

This creates a massive conflict of interest: as long as political elites can opt out of their own country's education system, they have zero personal incentive to fix it. Public money that should be invested in domestic schools, universities, and infrastructure is instead shielded while politicians' families enjoy world-class education abroad.
