Every child has a right to education, and providing education to every child is the duty of state. However, seeing conditions of Government schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh, A large number of people from several cities have no option, but to send their children in private schools. A majority of these private schools are allotted land by the state, but when it comes to fees, they have the sole discretion to increase fees. There is not a single effective mechanism to curb them. These schools can't be allowed to run like other profit making businesses. State of Gujarat has recently presented a very good example wherein schools are directed to not charge more than Rs. 15000 from students of primary classes. The time has come to regulate greed & exploitation of private schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Hence this petition . . .
