Alkapoor Township is one of the fastest growing townships in Hyderabad, one of the most happening Metro Cities in India and we residents do not have drinking water. Yes, you read it right. 

We are a population of 15000, who mostly comprise of families whose earning members work predominantly in the IT/ITES/EdTech/BFSI verticals, contributing to the GDP of the state as well as the Country in a way that is unmatched, in a very progressive way. Much of the charm that the State Government enjoys by way of Software Exports come from the direct sweat and blood from this community of people residing in Alkapoor.

Our township is home to 10 schools with more than 5000 school going students who are silent sufferers of this apathy from authorities, lacking basic facilities of Drinking Water.

We are also unique in the sense that we are one of the most densely populated Tax Payers in the country in one place, considering the abysmal Tax paying percentage of less than 4% of the entire India’s populace.

Our humble request is to take care of the below:

But unfortunately none of the above efforts yielded any tangible results.

Every year, we are at the mercy of the Water Tanker Mafia during Summers. We should look at the damage that Bore Water has on our Water Systems in Apartments, Washing Machines, Skin-Diseases, etc. 

Hence we want to move this Petition Alkapoor Water Woes to highlight to the Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K Chandra Sekhar Rao and the Mr. K Taraka Rama Rao, Minister for IT E&C, MA&UD and request them humbly to solve the Drinking Water problem of Alkapoor Township, Manikonda.
