I am Dr. Rajeev Malhotra, a resident of 3 Link Road, Jangpura Extension, New Delhi 110014. My house is facing Defence Colony Flyover. There is a liquor shop (shop no. 279 under the Flyover) right opposite my house at a distance of less tha 100 feet. This is of a massive nuisance to us because lot of people consume liquor in the vicinity of liquor shop. There are drunken brawls and use of abusive language and instances of eveteasing. People also park their vehicles in a haphazard manner causing traffic jams on the narrow  colony road and in front of our house entrance gates blocking our entrance and exit from the house. Ladies feel insecure and do not step out after 8 PM. There are chances of crimes happening. Selecting sites for liquor shops should be carefully done that are away from residences and should not be a source of harassment in residential areas. People in our country unfortunately do not handle liquor well . I request you with folded hands to please get this liquor shop shifted elsewhere. You shall do the colony residents and us a big favour.
