Supreme Court of the United States

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has a very biased and slanted view on the LGBTQ Community, and in a recent statement compared them to those who commit murder. He should be required to recuse himself from the DOMA/Proposition 8 hearings.
His position allows him the freedoom to persuade the opinions of the constituency of the United States of America. His goal is to dehumanize the Gay Community, and turn public opinion against the Community at large.
We the people of the United States of America need to stand firm in our commitment to freedom and our basic human rights. This includes the freedom of choice in sexuality. We urge you to sign this petition, let the United States Supreme Court know, without a shadow of doubt, that you support freedom for one and all!
Please note in the news article below that Justice Antonin Scalaia states of the Constitution:
"It isn't a living document," Scalia said. "It's dead, dead, dead, dead."
Keep in mind that A US Supreme Court justice can lose his or her job by being impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate. Justices must commit an impeachable offense, and cannot be removed simply because some people don't like their decisions. That being said, we NEED to have our voices heard!

Thank you so very much for this article. You have no idea how much it means to the LGBTQ Community. I wrote a letter to the editor of my local newspaper, which was published on December 13th, and received scathing remarks from commentators. I was unable to reply to the remarks, as I do not have an online subscription. Instead, I published a public note on Facebook with my replies to the comments.
A US Supreme Court justice CAN lose his or her position by being impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate. Justices must commit an impeachable offense. I realize that they cannot be removed simply because some people don't like their decisions, but I believe if the voice of the people is heard loud enough, he can be removed. I, for one, consider his biased personal opinion to be an impeachable offense.
If he cannot be removed from his position, then RECUSAL is the only alternative. His blatant disregard of the LGBTQ Community cannot go unnoticed. The more we publish and make public his offense, the better the chances are that he will not be allowed to sit during the decision making process of these very important issues regarding the Defense of Marriage Act and the overturning of California's Proposition 8.
