My name is Lester Owens, I’m 30 years old and I’ve been incarcerated for over 10 years of my life for a crime I didn’t commit. I’m a victim of police misconduct that has been over looked and ignored for far too long. I’ve been framed for a crime I didn’t do, by two Chicago Police Officers (Brian Forberg & Kevin Eberle) who has Who consistently displayed criminal patterns and practice’s of police misconduct. Forberg and Eberle have A history of being a unprofessional, deceitful, and a threat to every citizen in the city of Chicago. In multiple cases Forberg and Eberle have fabricated evidence, lied in police records , coerced witnesses to make false statements/ commit perjury, and they’ve even withheld exculpatory evidence. Forberg and Eberle’s criminal tactics have led to innocent people (other than me) being wrongfully convicted in prison for years. These two officers should’ve been relieved of their duties for their criminal patterns and practices but instead their misconduct has been ignored, concealed, protected by the “Blue- line/Code of Silence”, and rewarded with promotionS by the Chicago Police Department. The systemic racism, torture, and abuse that has plagued AREA 2 for decades, with a John Burge, Michael McDermott, James Boulanger, and many other’s who have committed crimes against many young Black men.
