The goal of this petition is to get Chick-fil-A to serve halal chicken which allows Muslims to eat at Chick-fil-A.
Imagine hearing all about a restaurant and how good it tastes and not being able to eat it because it’s restricted in your religion. Some of you probably don’t understand what I mean so let me explain. As a Muslim, when it comes to food, we have to know exactly what we are eating. We are not at all allowed to eat pork. But chicken is a meat that we are allowed to eat if it is Halal. Some people don’t know what “halal” is. Halal is an Arabic word that translates to "permissible" in English. In the Quran, the word halal is contrasted with haram. Halal animals must be slaughtered by a Muslim, who says a blessing. Once killed, the animal's blood must drain completely, since Muslims who eat Halal do not consume the fresh blood of animals. Many Muslims do not eat Chick-fil-A for this exact reason. 

The main particular reason for enacting this petition is that it would make it so much more convenient for us Muslims. This is the only change that would need to be made considering they do not serve pork (which is the only meat that cannot be made “halal”) and they don’t serve alcohol. Chick-fil-A is almost everywhere you go. In order for muslims like me to go eat halal meat at restaurants, we would need to go far places which is very inconvenient. It wastes a lot of gas and makes it difficult to get quick bites. 

Not only would this be benefiting Muslims, it would also benefit the company itself. This would allow them to get many more costumers and would be a huge game changer in the fast food industry. There are benefits that come with eating “halal” meat.Blood retention in animals makes it more vulnerable to adulteration which eventually leads to unpleasant taste and texture. As all blood must be drained off, the Halal meat is obviously fresher.Also, it stays fresh for a longer period of time.

Overall, making Chick-fil-A halal is a really good idea benefitting the Muslims and the company.Making it convenient for the Muslims and allow Chick-fil-A to gain a lot more costumers.
