Dear Chick-fil-a, City of Titusville and all current residents and commuters,

I am writing this petition in hopes to show that opening a Chick-fil-a in the Titusville area would not only be a good business move for the company, but a great boost for the city and local residents as well. I moved to Titusville last year to have a shorter commute to work (KSC). Since moving here I have learned some of the history that brought this town to thrive decades ago. Like any town I believe in keeping the history preserved and unique from other places. There is no other town in the US that has the space history quite like Titusville. Titusville brings visitors and tourists from all over the world to watch rocket launches and learn about space exploration. Florida as a state has had the largest increase in population over the last year and predictions point to that number to continue grow. The space program is also increasing, not only in interest but in production at high rate. Many new companies are joining the movement and private companies are expanding their footprint locally to support the space industry. Of course with the increase of work comes an increase in residents and visitors which in turn leads to more hungry people and unfortunately there is not many options currently for food in the immediate area. Every evening I drive down US 405 and see Taco Bell, Wendys, & Mcdonalds with lines wrapped clear around the buildings. The closest Chik-fil-a is currently 25-30 minutes away. As I said before, I think keeping historic towns preserved is important to me and the many locals who grew up in the area. Therefore I think it would benefit all parties to consider opening a restaurant in the area, perhaps off US 405 or right off I95 to attract some of the thousands of passerby commuting on the interstate daily. Please consider this business idea. I am even willing to pay the initial franchise fee if need be. If you agree with this petition for change please sign.
