Expand Divvy Bike Sharing stations to Chicago's Beverly Hills / Morgan Park Neighborhood

The Issue

By signing this petition, we, the residents in and around Chicago's Beverly Hills, Morgan Park neighborhoods, ask Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Chicago City Council to bring the Divvy bike program and sharing stations to the Beverly Hills/ Morgan Park neighborhood.

We believe adding the Divvy Bike network to our Southwest Side neighborhood will benefit commuters, residents and visitors to enjoy our beautiful village in the city and support our local businesses.  For example, participants can rent a Divvy bike at any one of our 6 Rock Island Metra stations and enjoy a variety of rides, including, checking out the historic homes along Longwood Drive and exploring destinations such as the 99th Street and 103rd Street shopping corridors, the Irish Castle, Beverly Arts Center, Vanderpoel Gallery, Ridge Historical Society, the new Chicago Park District state-of-the-art sports complex and much more.

The Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) would like to work with the City of Chicago, CDOT and Divvy to safely integrate the program here in the Beverly Hills Morgan Park neighborhood.
